Nowadays, educational sector encounters several serious obstacles. One of them is teachers’ professionalism. Why the teachers’ professionalism does play important role in educational world? It is because teachers face directly toward students during learning activities. No matter how sophisticated the technology tools, supporting learning materials and comfortable classroom, but teachers’ roles (professional teachers in this case) cannot be replaced.   It means that teachers are an important variable that support to better educational output.

A teacher has a potential chance in changing students’ characters. Even, teachers are able to metamorphosis a usual student to be a great leader, a great politician and a great entrepreneur.  It can be noticed that the teachers as mention above surely not a casual teacher but an incredible teacher who has great professionalism and high competencies so that can be good example to his students.

To be a professional teacher, at least a teacher must have (eight) special criteria which are: (1) a strong basic knowledge, (2) based on individual competencies, (3) pass a tight selection and certification processes, (4) able to cooperate and compete among teachers, (5) realize importance of high profession, (6) have an ethical conducts, (7) availability an individual militancy,   and (8) join in professional organization.

From these characteristics can be seen that teachers have been selected from a special person who has criteria as mentioned above. So, teachers cannot be employed to people who come from nowhere but they have to pass a certain selective processes. Moreover a teacher should be avoiding to be performed by a freelance worker.

That can be a suggestion to the educational world around the world to consider some important point as mentioned above in requiring teachers’ selection processes. Hopefully, the best teachers can produce the best outcomes to lead world in various positions of the outcomes.
